The new King Abdullah Academy, features a K-12 school that addresses age groups and cultural factors alike. Starting with separate entry into the learning environment, students of Elementary, Middle and High school have appropriate spaces for learning, including play areas, collaborative spaces, flexible classrooms and the latest technology at hand. Interior courtyards, Theater, Soccer field, Playgrounds, Gym and Pool are all part of the complex, while administrative offices are nearby on the same campus.

Going beyond Renderings makes all the difference! We knew a forward thinking, technological approach appealed to this tenant, so IMD created an fully interactive VR office space for them to explore.

PBS decision makers were able to navigate their new office space in real-time by using the HTC Vive headset. Not only were they able to see the proposed design, they experienced the new layout of the space with a full sense of spacial changes for various layout options for this flexible work environment. They were truly wowed, and the Architect bidding on the project won over top competitors!

Booz Allen Hamilton | innovation lab

This exciting project for Booz Allen Hamilton focuses on innovation and new technologies. In perfect alignment with what IMD is all about, it was natural to take steps towards creating an interactive VR experience.

Thinking they could create the VR experience in-house, BAH embarked on that portion of the project while IMD prepared 3D Renderings and Animation. Weeks later with little to no progress, IMD got the green light to move forward on the Virtual Reality experience.

This project involved the renovation of an exterior landscape area, where we created 3D renderings of all the surrounding buildings to highlight the lifestyle of residents. Using the provided plan and address, we crafted detailed lifestyle renderings that showcase people living and enjoying the space. The challenge was significant, but leveraging 3D technology allowed us to present the project from multiple vantage points, truly bringing it to life. Additionally, we enhanced the experience with a 360º tour, offering an immersive and interactive view of the entire area.

Georgetown Preparatory School is America’s oldest Jesuit boarding school located in North Bethesda, Maryland. With a 93-acre campus for nearly 500 students, the school has big plans for future development and growth with their newly planned Campus Center and Residence Hall designed by Cox Graae + Spack Architects.

A combination of visuals tells their story; a series of 3D Renderings and two Animated films provide a full overview of the many areas throughout the Residence Hall and new Campus Center. Particular attention was given to showcasing the new residential building, equipped with both student dorms and faculty apartments. Features such as the Family-style Kitchen and Living Room areas bring a sense of home.

CAMPUS CENTER AND RESIDENCE HALL

Georgetown Preparatory School is America’s oldest Jesuit boarding school located in North Bethesda, Maryland. With a 93-acre campus for nearly 500 students, the school has big plans for future development and growth with their newly planned Campus Center and Residence Hall designed by Cox Graae + Spack Architects. IMD created animation videos to support fundraising efforts to make this dream a reality.

Over a span of twelve weeks, IMD worked in collaboration with both the Architect and School representatives to take key goals for the project and create visuals that would clearly communicate the vision. Our goal was to inform and inspire the audience, help Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School meet their fundraising goal, and ultimately, break ground for construction.

A combination of visuals tells their story; a series of 3D Renderings and two Animated films provide a full overview of the many areas throughout the Residence Hall and new Campus Center. Particular attention was given to showcasing the new residential building, equipped with both student dorms and faculty apartments. Features such as the Family-style Kitchen and Living Room areas bring a sense of home, while the Assembly Hall is the attractive point of gathering for a larger group.

Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School launched "For the Greater Glory" Legacy campaign in late 2021.

METROPOLITAN SCHOOL OF PANAMA

METROPOLITAN SCHOOL OF PANAMA

This project was a brand new school building in a new location. The client needed an animation to show off the school and market it to new and existing students and families. IMD started with the old model of school and remodeled it in a few areas to make it compatible with the new software. The original file was old and outdated. 

The school was excited to show people in the school animation, but requested the students in the animation be wearing school uniforms, different color uniforms for each grade level. The client also requested custom furniture be included in the representation. IMD also worked with the construction and architect changes as the project progressed, trying to mimic the most accurate representation of the vision.

The visual success of the animation and 360º Tour for this project were also able to virtually onboard new and existing students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Writing the next Chapter for Miami-Dade International Airport

Miami-Dade International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world for passengers and cargo. With continued growth for demand, the airport most recent expansion is a $4 Billion Master Plan. It includes many renovations of small and large projects, including expansions of terminals, a new on-site hotel, a new APM system, and expansion of the cargo facilities. Aviation planners working on the projections needed to illustrate statistics, growth charts, demolition and construction of buildings, construction phasing, and design schemes for new projects, in an easy to understand format that makes an impact with the viewer. To address each item, IMD provided near all the types of services it offers, including Schematic Design services, 3D Modeling, 3D Renderings, 3D Animation, On-site footage, Voice over, Custom Music, 360 VR and Graphic Design. The project was completed in less than 2 months, and the result was a 7 minute long video, High Resolution 3D Renderings, and a 360 VR tour for renovation projects. The funding was approved shortly after IMD’s final deliverables.

On-Site live footage was captured to visually identify existing conditions that need to be addressed, and Animation was created for all areas in the Master Plan including New Concourse, Pedestrian Air-bridges, Garage Redevelopment, Intermodal Center for Public Transportation and more. Music and Voice Over recording of custom script were also included in the video production and deliverables.

Washington Dulles International Airport Master Plan

IAD | Master plan

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) manages Dulles International Airport, the Washington DC region’s large hub airport, serving more than 21 million passengers per year. Designed by Eero Saarinen, the airport opened in November 1962. The main terminal is an esteemed landmark for the area still today. The Dulles Historic District becomes an important factor for projects on the airport campus, many requiring presentations and approvals from the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO).

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), together with its consultants, is preparing a Master Plan for the Washington Dulles International Airport Master Plan. This plan encompasses upcoming needs at the airport for the next twenty-five years. Community outreach events have and will be hosted by the organization with the purpose of engaging the public for feedback and support of the development of the airport.

This video was created in support of the MWAA Dulles Airport Master Plan to help communicate the vision and purpose of the upcoming development projects at the airport. This was shared initially with stakeholders, later with at the community outreach events, as well as hosted on the MWAA website making it easily accessible to the public.

Crested butte Center for the arts

Designed as a reflection of the community’s distinctive culture and geography, visitors and community members alike are meant to feel at home in the space. The faceted main roof recalls the gabled roofs of the historic town buildings and the angular silhouette of near-by Mt. Crested Butte. The multipurpose, double-height lobby under the central roof combines massive wood structural members, textured copper, and rich fabrics within floor-to-ceiling glass walls to create a warm interior environment. As the Center’s hub, the lobby connects users to the 300-seat theatre, art gallery, dance spaces, and art studios.

Original Fundraising Video

In 1985 a determined group of Crested Butte residents converted a county maintenance garage into a community arts center. Today, that same building has been pushed beyond its capacity to try to fulfill the changing cultural needs of the community. In collaboration with the architectural firm Holzman Moss Bottino, and Visualization done by Illustrate My Design, this video show the future expansion of the center. It will include art studios, rehearsal rooms, a 330 flexible seat theater, and more.

This animation clip features the 330 flexible seat theater, which accommodates a wide variety of performances including theater style seating, rock concert with dance pit, dinner and a show, even aerial dancing performances.
