Nicole Hollant-Denis, AIA, NOMA, NCARB is the owner of Aaris Design Architects. For the past 20 years, she and her team have worked all over NYC’s five boroughs. . Ever since she was little, Nicole wanted to be an artist. Eventually, she decided to commit her artistic skills to a more practical career field, was accepted into Cornell’s architecture program, and never looked back.

Laura Holthus currently serves as the Project Manager for Ricondo’s Advanced Planning on-call services for the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Technical services have included project needs mapping with the Port of Seattle, ground transportation access planning, garage utilization and feasibility analyses, terminal modeling and expansion studies, Terminal optimization planning and concept development, and more.

Joanna Schmickel, FAIA is Principal at Cox Graae + Spack Architects, an award-winning national firm for Education, Retail, Commercial, Institutional and Residential projects. Being one of the only women at her company at first, she has demonstrated that her experience and passion surpass more than her gender. Even in her architecture school days at Syracuse University, she saw Architecture as a “man’s job.”
